1984 COLLECTIBLE VINTAGE VOGUE GINNY DOLL MINT IN BOX WITH LAYETTE
In 1984 a gentleman by the name of Walter Reiling, president of Meritus Industries, acquired the rights to the Ginny and Vogue business he recognized that Lesney's Ginny needed major revision. He felt that it was time to restore Vogue's original cute little toddler-playmate concept and the importance of well-made, adorable dresses. The previous owner of the doll company before Reiling had made some major changes to the looks and style of the Ginny and Vogue dolls. Reiling, apparently was right in restoring the old look of these dolls because their popularity soared again with the revamping of the dolls and going back to the earlier looks of the dolls. This was one of the first re-issue of the Ginny doll and is very collectible. She was made of course in 1984 and was one of Rieling's first new doll and layette to come out. This Ginny is mint in the box and neither she or her accessories have ever been removed. She stands 8" tall and called the "poseable" doll. She comes with her trademark Ginny embroidered panties, a white cotton PJs top and bottom with tiny little pink rosebuds as the print. To complete her pajama outfit she has little white booties to match. She also comes with a denim style skirt with white blouse and matching the skirt is her little purse. She is wearing her little white shoes and white pink laced stockings. Also included is her booklet and her original hang tag.
